Curve is re-launching We Are Here – its annual future leaders programme, with a call to potential partners to get involved through financial sponsorship, in-kind donations or the gifting of time and expertise.
What is it? A workshop-based programme for young people from traditionally marginalised groups. This year’s participants will be care-experienced young people
Why are we doing it? Research shows care-experienced people index significantly lower in terms of social, education and employment opportunities but higher in relation to negative mental health. It is a growing demographic that continues to be stigmatised. Campaign groups are currently lobbying the Government to make it a protected characteristic
The detail A 5-day programme in London with workshop exercises, coaching and mentorship, as well as the co-creation a Zine. At the end of the programme we will host an event to celebrate the participants
The goal Unlock potential, build skills and confidence and show participants how to use their voice and abilities to shape their future
